God's Work of Art

The Lord is asking me to invest in the giftings He has given me.  The insecurities of my life that have been covered up by outward appearances must cave away to God's powerful love.  I must trust in who He has made me to be, and to fulfill the works that He has chosen for me to walk in.

This is what I love to do, and what I feel called to do:
Worshiping God through song and music, teaching, writing, intercession, and arts.

Sometimes it seems too late - I waited too long in my life to develop these gifts . . . but maybe God has been developing ME first : )  Maybe the best is ahead.  : ) Life is a journey and there is always time to learn and to grow.

God overrides  every reason that I have to be insecure. I could point to so many things in my past, but what does it matter?

What matters is that God in me is greater than all those things.  As a matter of fact, God is able to actually use and redeem my past and turn it into something beautiful.  The hard things in life that slam us into the ground are the very things that make our beauty unique.

Eph. 2:10 For we are ~ God's work of art ~ (workmanship), created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.  WOW . . . powerful

As amazing as ALL of God's creation is - the trees, flowers, mountains, the sun and starts, and the universe in all of its vastness, nothing is more beautiful than the people He created.  We are amazing, intricate works of God, made in the image of God!  His craftsmanship at its best - His masterpieces!

Our unique person - the way we smile and laugh, our size, our shape, our minds, our color, our eyes and hair - has been carefully crafted by God into a beautiful creature, designed for specific works of God, which God has prepared in advance for us to do.

We discount our own giftings and beauty by comparing ourselves to others.  But the gifts God has given us are ours alone.  No one else is prepared or equipped for the things He has given us to do.  We are uniquely gifted for specific works that God Himself has prepared for us!

We are Beautifully, and Wonderfully Made!
